Entertainment and numerous cultural events (Ljubljana Festival in summer), congresses and fairs enhance its unique character.<\/p>\r\n\t<p><strong>No road trip through <\/strong>Slovenia would be complete if you didn\u2019t take some time off and enjoy a stroll through the old town centre and a cup of coffee at one of the numerous caf\u00e9s overlooking the River Ljubljanica.<\/p>\r\n\t<p>And even if you stay in Ljubljana for several days, you will not get bored as it boasts many cultural points of interest, such as museums and art galleries, good shopping opportunities, a vibrant foodie scene and many bars &amp; clubs for a fun night out. Hotels of the highest category can cater to the needs of the most demanding of guests.<\/p>\r\n\t<p>Maribor is not only a congress and cultural centre, but also an ideal starting point for trips to the neighbouring Austria, Hungary or Croatia.<\/p>\r\n<p>Beside numerous other sights in town, you can marvel at the oldest noble grapevine in the entire world and Slovenia\u2019s biggest wine cellar.<\/p>\r\n\t<p>We recommend that you take a trip through the nearby wine country. The ski slopes of Pohorje that host the annual women\u2019s alpine skiing world cup events are only a stone&#8217;s throw away from the town, too.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h1>\r\n\t\tMARIBOR\r\n\t<\/h1>\r\n\t<p>The main tourist attractions: Maribor Old Town, the Old Vine and the nearby Pohorje Hills<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>The most popular activities: relaxing, wine tasting, making the most of the natural beauty of Pohorje (skiing, hiking, cycling).<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h2>\r\n\t\tSMALL AND INTERESTING HISTORICAL SLOVENIAN TOWNS\r\n\t<\/h2>\r\n\t<p>As you will be driving through Slovenija, we recommend that you stop and take a walk through charming well-preserved smaller historical towns, such as \u0160kofja Loka, Radovljica, Kamnik, Piran, Kostanjevica, \u0160tanjel, Ptuj and Idrija, to name bit a few; or enjoy the lively atmosphere of slightly bigger regional urban centres, such as Kranj, Novo mesto and Celje.
